Fake Truthers Continue to Promote Racist Disinformation at 911Blogger

gretavo's picture

One could argue that whoever posted this (the user Nobodyparticular) at 911B liked how it talked about how Osama was not only probably dead and a convenient bogeyman but even that Osama likely had little to nothing to do with 9/11.  Indeed, the author of the Spectator piece cites much the same reasons truthers do for doubting the authenticity of the case against Osama--the faked tapes, etc.

But one must question whether the 911Blogger user who provides no disclaimer on the post believes that the Spectator author is correct in concluding that the Osama deception is being used by an American government unwilling to concede that "the terrorists" like KSM who "really did" 9/11 are really proxies for evil countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.  So forgive me if I assume that this is another sign of the convergence of the fake truthers with the controlled mainstream in making it look like yes, we were lied to about 9/11 but that the truth is simply that we were vcitimized not by Osama and a rag tag group of "Qaedists" but instead by an evil muslim conspiracy uniting the Persian, Pakistani, and Saudi Arab governments in a duplicitous campaign to destroy America.

The American Spectator: Osama bin Elvis

But what if terrorism were (as Thomas Friedman put it) "what states want to happen or let happen"? What if, in the real world, infiltrators from intelligence services—the professionals—use the amateur terrorists rather than the other way around? What is the logical consequence of noting the fact that the terrorist groups that make a difference on planet Earth—such as Hamas and Hezbollah, the PLO, Colombia's FARC—are extensions of, respectively, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and Venezuela? It is the negation of the U.S. government's favorite axiom. It means that when George W. Bush spoke, and when Barack Obama speaks, of America being "at war" against "extremism" or "extremists" they are either being stupid or acting stupid to avoid dealing with the nasty fact that many governments wage indirect warfare.

 >snip<

Consider: We know that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) planned and carried out 9/11. But there is no independent support for KSM's claim that he acted at Osama's direction and under his supervision. On the contrary, we know for sure that the expertise and the financing for 9/11 came from KSM's own group (the U.S. government has accepted but to my knowledge not verified that the group's core is a biological family of Baluchs). This group carried out the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa and every other act for which al Qaeda became known. The KSM group included the perpetrators of the 1993 World Trade Center bombings Abdul Rahman Yasin, who came from, returned to, and vanished in Iraq, as well as Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of that bombing, who came to the U.S. from Iraq on an Iraqi passport and was known to his New York collaborators as "Rashid the Iraqi." This group had planned the bombing of U.S. airliners over the Pacific in 1995. The core members are non-Arabs. They had no history of religiosity (and the religiosity they now display is unconvincing). They were not creatures of Osama. Only in 1996 did the group come to Osama's no-account band, and make it count.

Focusing on Osama bin Elvis is dangerous to America's security precisely because it continues to substitute in our collective mind the soft myth that terrorism is the work of romantic rogues for the hard reality that it can happen only because certain states want it to happen or let it happen. KSM and company may not have started their careers as agents of Iraqi intelligence, or they may have quit the Iraqis and worked for others, or maybe they just worked for themselves. But surely they were a body unto themselves. As such they fit Osama's description of those responsible for 9/11 as "individuals with their own motivation" far better than they fit the CIA's description of them as Osama's tools.

More important, focusing on Osama and al Qaeda distorts our understanding of what is happening in Afghanistan. The latter-day Taliban are fielding forces better paid and armed than any in the region except America's. Does anyone suggest seriously that Osama or al-Zawahiri are providing the equipment, the money, or the moral incentives? Such amounts of money can come only from the super wealthy of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The equipment can come only through dealers who work at the sufferance of states, and can reach the front only through Pakistan by leave of Pakistani authorities.

Commandment #1 - Muslim Terrorists Not Responsible For 9/11

Commandment #1 - Muslim / Arab Terrorists were not responsible for the attacks on 9/11.

Rinse and repeat.

Just an off the cuff guess.

Just an off the cuff guess. What if they (plotters) were feeling the heat from truthers advocating controlled demolition. After all it is the most obvious evidence. Seeking a way to spin the past, they then plan to shift the blame to foreign agents and maybe some insiders in WTC. That way they can have an alibi for controlled demolition which seems too sophisticated for Al Quaeda but perhaps not too much for Iran or Saudi Arabia.

Of course that would leave them the problem of why crash planes into WTC if they could blow them up anyway. That last detail only applies to US Gov't insiders and partner terrorist states like Israel who were intent on pushing the US population to support a global war on terrorism (as they said so in the PNAC document).

and now they're pimping "The Path to 9/11"??

Blocking The Path To 9/11

Apparently, 911Blogger user "Joe" is concerned about censorship of this farcical miniseries...

some background on the series and its creator:

[edit] Plot The miniseries presents a dramatization of the sequence of events leading to the September 11, 2001 attacks by Al Qaeda on the United States, starting from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and up to the minutes after the collapse of the World Trade Center in 2001, based on the 9/11 Commission reports. The point of view of the movie is from two primary protagonists: John P. O'Neill, and a composite Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent, "Kirk". O'Neill was the real-life Special Agent in charge of Al Qaeda investigations at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He died in the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11 shortly after retiring from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and taking the position of Director of Security for the World Trade Center. The composite CIA agent "Kirk" is shown dealing with various American allies, especially Northern Alliance leader Ahmed Shah Massoud, in Afghanistan. In addition, "Patricia", a CIA headquarters analyst, represents the views of the rank and file at CIA headquarters. The miniseries features dramatizations of various incidents summarized in the 9/11 Commission Report, and represented in high level discussions held within both the Clinton and Bush administrations. The final hour of the movie dramatizes the events of 9/11, including a re-creation of the second plane entering the World Trade Center, Tom Burnett's calls to his wife, and John Miller's reporting near the scene of the attacks. The film concludes with information about the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, as well as the performance evaluation the Commission gave the government when it reconvened in 2005.

[edit] Background of writer/producer The film's writer/producer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, has described himself as "probably more of a libertarian than a strict conservative," but "it's not the predominant thing that's driving me, my career, or my writing." He said further that he did not "want to just be a conservative version of Michael Moore."[19] Nowrasteh also wrote and directed The Day Reagan Was Shot, a TV movie for which Oliver Stone was the executive producer.[20] Nowrastech has been a featured speaker and columnist[21] for the Liberty Film Festival - a Conservative film festival which merged in 2006 with David Horowitz's Center for the Study of Popular Culture (now the David Horowitz Freedom Center) to form a joint conservative film organization.[22] In November 2006, He received an award in 2006 from the Liberty Film Festival for his participation in The Path to 9/11.[23] [24]

It's everywhere, man!

I smell porkchops... oh wait, that's just the one millionth iteration of disingenuous truther finger-pointing at the ISI, made especially repugnant by the fact that Pakistan is clearly under attack -- both militarily and via false flag terror.

I remember, back in the old days, when most of y'all were just young whippersnappers >creaky rocking chair noise< many of us were pointing out how effective a weapon of propaganda that alleged wire transfer might be. OMFG Pakistan did 9/11! Certain parties at 911blogger and elsewhere could not be bothered to give a fuck about the effects that propagating this tale might have, sometime in the future, when it might be time for Pakistan to take a bow according to the real perps.
