Wow. That was good.

thanks!

this is probably my best work, inspired by a heartbreak shortly after 9/11... in case anyone is wondering why i didn't spring right into action for the truth... :)

I guess since this one went over ok i'll put up the less good 9/11 related song that i did around the same time...

wtc demo listen

another fine addition to the demos piling up here. thanks to all the great musicians at this site. kinda weird that it worked out that way, but i'm sure Lazlo has an explanation. damn, what a lemming i've become.

Hey, why?

Get off that trip you're on. We all appreciate you round here!

hey bruce1337

no, no, maybe you misunderstood. that comment at the end was only poking fun at one left for me a little while back calling me a typical lemming foaming at the mouth for anything/everything Lazlo. prost!

Ah!

Skol!

Wow, beautiful!

So, why do you suppose she did?

gretavo's picture

she couldn't help herself... :)

see that's the interesting thing. i think she was dreading in some way her pending marriage--she had told me flat out that one thing she hated about being engaged was not being able to be flirtatious (in addition to beautiful and intelligent and artistic)

but of course there could be a more sinister explanation, since the whole thing started happening right after 9/11 and effectively distracted me from anything non-her related... :)

Ha! Now there's a topic:

the Holly-Golightly-Syndrome!

I've concluded that love is not about building cages. Love nurtures, unsolicited, and already is its own reward -- everything beyond's just a bonus. And quite obviously, clipping a bird's wings is not a function of love, it's a function of fear. Love does not fear, just as heat doesn't chill and light doesn't darken. So much for that...

Regarding flirtiness, almost everyone enjoys the enchantment it brings, just as everyone enjoys the sun. But what about a person who, consequently, lusted to possess and lock the sun away, only to satisfy his very own vanity? Sure, this might not be as common as wishing to lock up bipedal heavenly bodies, but the comparison goes to show both phenomena are in the same league of idiocy.

Anyone terrified his better half might not act like an asexual, frigid hyperintrovert when not at his side should find himself an asexual, frigid hyperintrovert to live with. Alternatively, they could also grow up. If, of course, every n-th flirt ends in a fling, with n somewhere in the double digits, that's a whole 'nother story. But as far as I can tell, the really flirty girls just really enjoy flirting, and are no more promiscuous than anyone else is.

Ooh, a more sinister explanation? Your personal honey-trap! They already knew your true potential before you did, and wanted to stifle you. Good thing you didn't fall for it ;-)
