NSA Spying on Social Media and Email

juandelacruz's picture

Hi guys,

Any impact on your activities? I am closing my gmail account which impacts several forum memberships that I have including WTCD. I will sign up again when I have an alternative email.

On another note, I was about 300 meters away when an apartment blew up near a mall in the Philippines a few weeks ago. I thought it was a terrorist bomb, but turned out to be LPG gas accumulating within the apartment and igniting. The explosion blew out two walls and killed 3 people who were crushed by a wall as it fell across the street. At first I thought this was too strong for a gas explosion, but it turned out that the apartment owner survived the blast. There was also less shattered glass than what I would have expected from a high explosive blast.

Stay safe. Bye for now.

regards,

No change here...

There's nothing secret about what we say or do here--I'd be happy to know that we were being snooped on, as it would mean a few more people's cognitive diversity being improved. Seriously though, I think this is more an effort to intimidate people than anything else--I answered "disinfo central" to the recent poll question posted by C455 (that's her sekrit codename as you know--keep it under wraps!) As I've probably mentioned before, back when I was more active in public outreach I have no doubt I encountered numerous individuals who were up to no good, pretending to be on my side, etc. I made a point of trying not to let them suspect I suspected them--that way I could get a better sense of what they wanted me to believe, and that has been invaluable in my deciding what NOT to believe. With Snowden, my position is that none of the revelations would surprise me if true, but I would be very surprised if they represented the extent of what *could* be revealed. This way both agendas are covered--people are intimidated but also lulled into a false sense of security that "the system is working to out wrongdoing" all by itself. Fake heroes are a dime a dozen these days...

cool but

What we post on a forum or social media is usually something that we intend to be public, but what I email other people using my Gmail account is sometimes intended to be completely private to the person I emailed it to. Some of the things I have sent via email could be used against me one day (to embarrass rather than to prosecute). My identity on this site is not supposed to be linkable to my identity in the real world, except to the administrator who has access to my email account, and I trust Gret with my identity even though he asks that we trust no one. Knowing how PRISM works and other related NSA programs means that my identity on this site and the real world is likely compromised.

At this point in time, this is not really a big deal, I do not live in the US and the Philippines is not a country that will crack down on WTCD users. But down the road, if PRISM data becomes a basis for inclusion in no fly list or US/UK/EU visa applications, it may affect my life in an unexpected manner.

So playing safe, I am shutting down my Gmail accounts or limiting their use to "safe" content. Using Gmail for my WTCD account was, in hindsight a mistake on my part.

I hear you...

I've written plenty of potentially embarrassing things in emails but I don't worry about those being made public as it would reflect worse on whomever referred to such information than it would on me. Kind of like why I don't care that certain fake truthers have tried to intimidate me by associating my WTCD personae with my real name, or when they have tried to cause trouble for me at work by emailing people here about me. That said, I suspect I might have trouble if I traveled to Israel, which is one of many reasons I don't plan to go there any time soon. Otherwise it seems that efforts to paint 9/11 skeptics as potential terrorists have fallen flat so that it could easily backfire on the perps if they drew attention to the subject by starting to give truthers a hard time... In any case I hope you never have any such issues, and frankly I suspect you won't...

Interesting comment in NSA article

I was reading an article on NSA spying on social media linked below, then read the comments and came upon one rather interesting.

The NSA Admits It Analyzes More People's Data Than Previously Revealed

I found the comment had a lot of leads which I would like to read up on and consider as possible explanations for what is going on in and behind the news. The comment is shown below.

There never was any 'terrorism' or al-qaeda' , just al-CIA-Duh. Theyve been running CIA proxy groups of jihad trash all over the balkans for years, using them to destabilize countries in the Middle East for decades. The one brother from the Boston Bombing was on the CIA payroll (the dead one, Tamerlan). The Russo-Georgian gov released the docs 2 months ago showing he was part of the Jamestown Foundation, founded by William Casey long ago, a total demon lunatic. The group funding him was called 'Fund for Caucuses' doing whatever it was they wanted him doing, hence why he flew there two times, staying once for 6 months. That was why the FBI ignored the Russians warnings and didnt do much about it, since he was their guy in the first place lmao. I mean, what, this is like the 29023932390 time that whenever these things happen, there is ALWAYS some FBI/CIA informant or involvement somehow.

These 'rebels' in Libya, Syria and elsewhere, arent 'rebels' , they are all mercs and cockroaches the Saudis churn out off an assembly line, and helped, aided, funded, and weaponized by the CIA, DIA, FBI etc. Been going on since Brzezinski helped set it all up in 79, to help bring down the Soviets.

Hell, Osama's code name was 'TIM OSMAN' when he was sent here to be trained to lead the Mujahedin, which became the Taliban, and the most radical elements of that because 'al-qaeda' which literally means 'the database' is nothing more than the US gov's proxy arm to wreck countries that wont bow down to the queen, the IMF, the federal reserve, and whole vampire squid of the london-based banking aristocracy. Al-qaeda is the CIA, always was, always will be. Hell, they caught Alawki dining at the pentagon awhile back...even Fox News reported that lol (who was reported dead in 09, and again, during the drone strike last year lmao). All the heads of the Libyan Shield, Ansar al-Sharia, the LIFG, people like Belhadj and Qumu, were all former GITMO inmates, released, and sent right back out there, and helped bring down Gaddafi, wrecked that country to shreds, and now are doing the same in Syria. The scum Obama wants to aid so desperatly in Syria are virtually affiliated with Al-Nusra, which is a subfaction of Al-Qaeda In Iraq (AQII), who are on record killing US troops when the US was involved with that phony war and disaster based on pure lies and fallacious bs. Whatever 'rebels' in Syria are left, also publicly swore allegiance to Al-Nusra, which makes them de facto Al-CIA-Duh members now lmao. But ofc, now we have to invade, because..well, because Al-CIA-Duh is there...but we put them there lol...and sent over tons of RPGs from the weapon stashes in Benghazi (thats what Benghazi was all about, someone blew the lid on the stashes there and Stevens wouldnt go along with it, so....he had a little 'accident').

This is all on record and easily proven, with some mild research. This whole 'terror' bs is all one giant joke in order for the elite trash within government to rape our rights and centralize power under the name of 'fighting evil brown people.' We have mega banks like Wells Fargo/Wachovia and HSBC getting busted laundering billions of drug money and terrorist money, troops guarding the poppy fields in Afghanistan...its an utter disgrace whats been allowed to happen in this country's name, but this is what happens when people dont hold their gov accountable and allow it to grow out of control, like the founders warned against.

--A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have--Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. --Thomas Jefferson

The level of tyranny you will live under, is the exact amount you'll put up with--Thomas Jefferson

A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a staus of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government--George Washington

(I am not endorsing any of the info above as accurate, but will read up on them if I can find any more corroborating material. As with anything in the web, you must figure out yourself if it is worth believing.)

Benghazzigate and arming Syrian rebels

GAFFNEY: The real reason behind Benghazigate
Was Obama gun-walking arms to jihadists?

President Obama’s once seemingly unstoppable march toward re-election hit what he might call “bumps in the road” in Benghazi, Libya, late on Sept. 11, 2012. It might be more accurate to describe the effect of the well-planned and -executed, military-style attack on a diplomatic facility there as the political equivalent of a devastating improvised explosive device on the myth of the unassailability of the Obama record as commander in chief.

Thanks to intrepid investigative reporting — notably by Bret Baier and Catherine Herridge at Fox News, Aaron Klein at WND.com and Clare Lopez at RadicalIslam.org — and information developed by congressional investigators, the mystery is beginning to unravel with regard to what happened that night and the reason for the subsequent, clumsy official cover-up now known as Benghazigate.

The evidence suggests that the Obama administration has not simply been engaging, legitimating, enriching and emboldening Islamists who have taken over or are ascendant in much of the Middle East. Starting in March 2011, when American diplomat J. Christopher Stevens was designated the liaison to the “opposition” in Libya, the Obama administration has been arming them, including jihadists like Abdelhakim Belhadj, leader of the al Qaeda franchise known as the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group.

Once Moammar Gadhafi was overthrown, Stevens was appointed ambassador to the new Libya run by Mr. Belhadj and his friends. Not surprisingly, one of the most important priorities for someone in that position would be to try to find and secure the immense amount of armaments that had been cached by the dictator around the country and systematically looted during and after the revolution.

One of the places in Libya most awash with such weapons in the most dangerous of hands is Benghazi. It now appears that Stevens was there — on a particularly risky day, with no security to speak of and despite now copiously documented concerns about his own safety and that of his subordinates — for another priority mission: sending arms recovered from the former regime’s stocks to the “opposition” in Syria. As in Libya, the insurgents are known to include al Qaeda and other Shariah-supremacist groups, including none other than Abdelhakim Belhadj.

Fox News has chronicled how the Al Entisar, a Libyan-flagged vessel carrying 400 tons of cargo, docked on Sept. 6 in the Turkish port of Iskenderun. It reportedly supplied both humanitarian assistance and arms — including deadly SA-7 man-portable surface-to-air missiles — apparently destined for Islamists, again including al Qaeda elements, in Syria.

What cries out for further investigation — and debate in the remaining days of this presidential election — is whether this shipment was part of a larger covert Obama effort to transfer weapons to our enemies that could make the Iran-Contra scandal, to say nothing of Operation Fast and Furious, pale by comparison.

Investigative journalist Aaron Klein has reported that the “consulate in Benghazi” actually was no such thing. He observes that although administration officials have done nothing to correct that oft-repeated characterization of the facility where the murderous attack on Stevens and his colleagues was launched, they call it a “mission.” What Mr. Klein describes as a “shabby, nondescript building” that lacked any “major public security presence” was, according to an unnamed Middle Eastern security official, “routinely used by Stevens and others to coordinate with the Turkish, Saudi and Qatari governments on supporting the insurgencies in the Middle East, most prominently the rebels opposing Assad’s regime in Syria.”

We know that Stevens‘ last official act was to hold such a meeting with an unidentified “Turkish diplomat.” Presumably, the conversation involved additional arms shipments to al Qaeda and its allies in Syria. It also may have involved getting more jihadi fighters there. After all, Mr. Klein reported last month that, according to sources in Egyptian security, our ambassador was playing a “central role in recruiting jihadists to fight Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.”

It gets worse. Last week, Center for Security Policy senior fellow and former career CIA officer Clare Lopez observed that there were two large warehouse-type buildings associated with the so-called “consulate” whose purpose has yet to be disclosed. As their contents were raided in the course of the attack, we may never know for sure whether they housed — and were known by the local jihadis to house — arms, perhaps administered by the two former Navy SEALs killed along with Stevens.

What we do know is that the New York Times — one of the most slavishly pro-Obama publications in the country — reported in an Oct. 14 article, “Most of the arms shipped at the behest of Saudi Arabia and Qatar to supply Syrian rebel groups fighting the government of Bashar Assad are going to hard-line Islamic jihadists, and not the more secular opposition groups that the West wants to bolster.”

In short, it seems President Obama has been engaged in gun-walking on a massive scale. The effect has been to equip America’s enemies to wage jihad not only against regimes it once claimed were our friends, but inevitably against us and our allies as well. That would explain his administration’s desperate and now failing bid to mislead the voters through the serial deflections of Benghazigate.

Boston Bomber - CIA link

I don't know what to make of this article. It is speculative, but given what I think I know of previous events such as Oklahoma City, I have an impression that there is much more than what is circulated in the news about the Boston bombing incident.

An uncle of the Boston bombers was previously married to a CIA officer's daughter for three years, it emerged today.

Ruslan Tsarni, who publicly denounced his two terrorist nephews' actions and called them 'Losers', even lived with his father-in-law agent Graham Fuller in his Maryland home for a year.

Mr Fuller was forced to explain the relationship today as news of the family link emerged online.

He told Al-Monitor that his daughter, Samantha, was married to Ruslan, whose surname was then Tsarnaev, for three to four years in the 1990s.

The couple divorced in 1999 more than ten years after he left the agency in 1987.

'Samantha was married to Ruslan Tsarnaev (Tsarni) for 3-4 years, and they lived in Bishkek for one year where Samantha was working for Price Waterhouse on privatization projects,' Mr Fuller said.

'They also lived in our house in [Maryland] for a year or so and they were divorced in 1999, I believe.

'I, of course, retired from CIA in 1987 and had moved on to working as a senior political scientist for RAND.'

He said his son-in-law showed no interest in the agency or politics but spoke generally about his family in Chechnya.

He said any attempts to portray the relationship as a link between the security agency and the two terrorists was 'absurd'.

'Like all Chechens, Ruslan was very concerned about his native land, but I saw no particular involvement in politics,' Fuller told Al-Monitor.

'I doubt he even had much to say of intelligence value other than talking about his own family’s sad tale of deportation from Chechnya by Stalin to Central Asia. Every Chechen family has such stories.'

Fuller visited his daughter and her husband in Bishek, as a former Russian history graduate himself interested in 'Soviet minorities'.

He said he may have met the terror suspects' father, Aznor, there once and his daughter knew the Tsarnaev family when Tamerlan was a toddler and before his younger brother was born.

'I for one was astonished at the events, and to find myself at two degrees of separation from them,' he added.

Ruslan Tsarni, who lives in Montgomery Village, Maryland, was thrust into the spotlight as the names of his two nephews emerged in connection to the Boston terror attack.

He stood on his driveway and attacked the two men calling them 'Losers'.

He has since reported a rift between his family and that of his brother Aznor's and said his older nephew Tamerlan had become increasingly extreme in his religious views.

He said he last spoke to him in 2009 when he declared he was dropping out of school to do 'God's business' and Tsarni was concerned at his religious fervor.

'[The bombing] has nothing to do with Chechen … He put a shame on our family, he put a shame on the entire Chechen ethnicity,' he told broadcasters in the aftermath of the bombings

He also told reporters that Tamerlan had a friend called Misha who 'brainwashed' him.

'This person just took his brain. He just brainwashed him completely,' he said.

FBI agents today said they had tracked down Misha and believed he had no link to the terror attacks.

even as a local...

...affected as I should be by Boston Strong fever, I find the whole thing stinks. Dave McGowan has some interesting analysis at http://www.davesweb.cnchost.com/nwsltr114.html .

The nature of the explosions aside, I find it interesting that they settled on Jahar the Jihadi instead of Jahar the truther.
