.. several mistaken points were made in that. I wrote to them and went round and round with them till they finally admitted it was wrong on several accounts, so they wrote a slight retraction correcting the mistakes, but they left the mistaken article up, as it was, mistakes still in place.

That wasn't so much him as a minion of Roberts who co-wrote it with Gage, but Gage's name is on it.
