Re-Examining the Gold (Double) Standard - The Obsession With Patsystan

gretavo's picture

Things seem to be back to "normal" at Apt. 911b, with resident terrist-hunter Jon Gold once again applying his lack of critical thinking skills to the 9/11 truth imbroglio.

Osama Bin Laden Had A Pakistani ISI "Handling Officer"

This time Jon has chomped mightily on yet another Indian news story implicating the ISI, not in 9/11 of course, but in the "handling" of Osama bin Laden who we know had nothing to do with 9/11 except for being wrongly acused of it.  This little fact will not stop Jon Gold from helping himself to every scrumptious morsel dangled on a hook before him by the propagandists in India's print media.  Curry?  Vindaloo?  No, to get Jon Gold to bite the bait must be flavored with hints of Patsystani malfeasance.

So who is this B Raman who assures us that OBL had an ISI handler?  Beats me!  Let's see though what he has previously written about the attacks of 9/11...

http://in.rediff.com/news/2007/sep/11raman.htm

Oh dear.  So, does Jon Gold not see a problem with treating someone like this as an authority?  Does he realize that the writer of the above article on the 9/11 terrist attacks should not be trusted?  That he may have, well, an agenda that does not include the truth about 9/11?

No, it would seem that such considerations are lost on our favorite walrus as he lumbers forward on his quixotic LIHOP crusade.  The best part of his blog post is how Johndoraemi chimes in like Fetzer to Judy - "Oh-ho-ho, J!  This is great stuff!"

Yeah, it really is.  Not a thing to do with 9/11.  But great stuff indeed.

LCFC Gold Diggin'

I saw LCFC and there is an entire section on the nefarious ISI connection to 911.

It is beyond me how people can still cling onto this ISI narrative as if it's truth-fact.

Seriously, these people are continuously claiming that...

"Gen. Mahmood wired $100,000.00 to Atta...the FBI and Indian Inteligence confirmed it"

Why do I not put my loose change into the ISI machine?

1. There is one source, Times of India
2. Considering India's relationship with Pakistan...I need ANOTHER source....
3. There are no OTHER sources.

Dylan Avery, Jon Gold, or the oh-so-pretty Sander Hicks...claim that...

"..the FBI confirmed that General Mahmood of the ISI wired 100K to Atta"

Avery, Gold, & Hicks are all full of shit. Period.

First thought best thought

Wasn't that Kerouac's axiom?  Or something like that?  Anyway, I think this is your post, jpass, but I added it because I appreciated its... candor...

Examining Force

To examine this issue further I would like to say a few things that more accurately define my feelings towards the issue...forgive me for preaching to the choire.

It's not the Times of India, or the WallStreet Journal book review used as sources that perk my ears up.

It is the force at which these issues are pushed with such little supporting sources...and the intimidation tactics directed towards those who investigate and question the narrative (not just the ISI narrative of course).

How is it that a movie that was apparently in the making for a long time, cost $1 million to make (which I find very hard to beleive after seeing it), and claims to have vetted all information over and over for accuracy....

How can a film like this open up with the ISI / General Mahmood wired 100K story?

I'm not saying it's 100% solid disinformation. I'm saying that the sources don't add up to more then "hmm..that is interesting".

There is no justification...no reason...this issue should be at the forefront of 911 Truth dialog unless used in it's current context on this site.

So you have a narrative that barely holds air let alone water...and then you add to it a couple of arduent supporters who will use intimidation techniques against those who rightfully and respectfully question the narrative.

It's a combination of things that would lead anyone willing to study that there are some who WANT you to add the ISI to your 911 Smoking Guns list.

Why? Because it's a goose chase...that is the only conclusion I have arrived at.

Again, and I know I'm preaching to the choir here....

It is not the lack of sourcing alone that leads me to my conlcusions....it's the actions of prominate 'truthers' coupled with the total lack of evidence to support the ISI/General Mahmood/100K narrative.

When Sander Hicks claims in LCFC that the head of the ISI wired 100K to a 911 Hijacker I have to ask myself...wtf is up with Sander Hicks.

Sander Hicks brought us the story of Delmart Vreeland, another story of spooks, double...possibly triple agents of inteligence services....etc. etc.

The Delmart Vreeland scoop is a confirmed WILD GOOSE CHASE presented by Sander Hicks and others as something substantial.

When it's all said and done...the official story is being reinforced here. The Islamic Boogey Men were the terrorist who were behind 911.

And lets say this is all true...100K wired to Atta....the 'official investigation' does not prove that Islamic Boogeymen planned and perpetrated the attacks of 911.

I'm obviously skeptical of his latest scoop on....

LCFS Gold Diggin' On The ISI

Jon Gold constantly looks for anything that will confirm his narrative that, btw, the Family members support!

Loose Change Final Cut has an entire section on the ISI.

Sander Hicks, Jon Gold, and Dylan Avery all claim that...

"the FBI confirmed that General Mahmood of the ISI wired 100K to Atta."

Umm...source please?

I challenge Gold, Avery, and the pretty Hicks to provide the source for this information.

Are we now devoting entire sections of 911 Truth movies to narratives backed by one source which happens to be the Times of India...India...which happens to be in conflict with Pakistan over Kashmir...which happens to be the only source of the story?

Are there more sources?

Gold, Avery, Hicks all claim that there are.

What is a source? If the Times Of India reports that the ISI wired 100K to atta and then I report it on my blog...is that 2 sources? If Gretavo blogs it as fact on his blog...does that make 3 sources...?

I usually don't answer my own rhetorical questions....but considering the apparent lack of critical thinking skills by Avery, Gold, and Hicks....

"Of course, the times of Inida is the only source...one source...just one."

inside's picture

youre not saying that gold

youre not saying that gold is in loose change fc are you??

has anyone seen it yet??

Jpass's picture

No I'm not saying that...

But Avery, like Gold...talks about the ISI as if there are numerous sources confirming the entire narrative.

It's perplexing that people put so much faith into one story by the Times Of India with no other backing sources.

But on another note...he does make a quick cameo appearence I beleive in the beginning of the movie.

There is footage of the 2006 NYC 911Truth action and I am pretty sure Gold is featured for a couple seconds. I will take another look.

But he doesn't make any interviews or anything.

casseia's picture

Yes, there's a shot of Gold

at the 2006 anniversary events -- just one of the crowd.

I've seen about the first 20 minutes -- my initial attempt to watch it on Google stalled.

LCFC FLV - ?

I do have the lcfc flv file that I dowloaded when I watched the movie online. It's 1.5 GB and I've tried many times but failed to convert it to a format and size suitable for google video.

Anyone interested or know how to easily prepare this thing for disection by the  critcally thinking masses?

Annoymouse's picture

...

no recommendation on conversion software, sorry. but just to let u know its up on google already:
http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-8834310461960956516&q=final+cut+...
not great quality tho (IMAGE quality i mean, havent seen the film yet (not much of it anyways))

2 much blush

It wasn't that great.

Seeing Sander Hicks with too much make-up claiming that the FBI confirmed that THE GENERAL wired THE CASH...sort of set it up poorly for me.

What's up with the blush anyway? I saw a few shots of Avery in an interview a while back.

Disinfo or not...tone down the toner.

Annoymouse's picture

yeah this is crap...

question is, is it crappy enough to sink the truth movement? in terms of limited hangout, it certainly could. i'm just glad i didn't hype it to anyone--the blowback will mostly affect poeple who have been pushing it like it was going to be some kind of breakthrough. i think we know what to expect--a lot of hype followed by some slick "debunking loose change" product. YAAAWWWWNN. LCFC ain't the real truth movement folks.

The comments under that Indian op-ed

or whatever it is, are interesting.  MANY removed for abusive/hateful content.

Crap.  I need a topic for a 6-page paper for "Discourse Analysis" and I'm coming up empty-handed.  I looked at the President's 9/11 statements, Arabesque's blog, the Indian op-ed -- I just need a small chunk of something (really interesting).Â
