Did Britain Help Israel Assassinate Hamas Figure in Dubai?

The Tide Has Changed - Gilad Atzmon
London is ‘angry’ over the use of stolen identities by the Dubai assassins and points its finger at the Jewish state and its notorious Mossad espionage agency. The Israeli ambassador to Britain, Ron Prosor, was summoned yesterday by the foreign minister to “share information”. In practice Britain has stopped short of accusing Israel of involvement in the scandalous assassination, however to signal its displeasure the Foreign Office ignored an Israeli plea to keep the summons secret. "Relations were in the freezer before this. They are in the deep freeze now," a British official told the Guardian.
The British anger at Israel would be a positive signal in the right direction if we were not aware of British Foreign Secretary David Miliband investing enormous efforts trying to amend Britain’s ethical stand just to appease Tzipi Livni, Ehud Barak and other Israeli leaders. The British Foreign Ministry’s reaction could almost be deemed a revelation, were we able to forget that just five weeks before Israel launched its lethal criminal attack against Gaza, David Miliband visited Sderot, an Israeli town on the Gaza border to offer his support. "No country can accept constant bombardment of its citizens”, Miliband told the people of Sderot. He then continued “Israel should, above all, seek to protect its own citizens". It was that foolish statement by Britain’s Foreign Secretary that made us all complicit in Israel’s flattening of Gaza. Bearing these facts in mind, it is rather unlikely that the Israeli Ambassador to Britain was sweating while ‘sharing information’ with the chief aid to the British Foreign Secretary.
In the last few days Robert Fisk reported from the Middle East that, in Dubai there is not much doubt about Britain being involved in the Israeli blunder. "The British passports are real”, says one of Fisk’s sources in Dubai. “They are hologram pictures with the biometric stamp. They are not forged or fake. The names were really there. If you can fake a hologram or biometric stamp, what does this mean?" The truth better be exposed here. As if this is not enough, the Israeli Ynet reports today (quoting the Daily Mail) that Israel informed the British government that its agents were going to carry out an 'overseas operation' using forged British passports. “It wasn't a request for permission, but rather a courtesy call”.
If Britain was collaborating with Israel at any level, we better know it all, we better find out whether it was a person or a body within the Government or the intelligence, or just an ordinary sayan* in the Home Office or any other government office. If there was British collaboration, we better identify what it was exactly, who decided to serve Israeli murderous interests in our midst. We also better find out who in Britain decided to put British interests and British security in the Arab world at enormous risk.
In the Guardian yesterday Seumas Milne didn’t save his words either. “Instead of setting off a diplomatic backlash, the British government sat on its hands for almost a week after it was reportedly first passed details of the passport abuse. And while the Foreign Office finally summoned the Israeli ambassador to ‘share information’, rather than to protest, Gordon Brown could yesterday only promise a ‘full investigation’”.
The truth of the matter is tragic. The British political system is paralysed by the Israeli Lobby. Like in the USA, British national interests are sacrificed for the sake of dirty Zionist cash. If Britain wants to liberate itself from the Zionist grip and have any prospect of a future, it must move fast and clean the entire list of Zionist infiltrators from its political ranks, Government offices and strategic positions. I am not talking here about Jews. By no means do I mention ethnicity or race. I am talking here about a political and ideological affiliation. Considering Zionism is a murderous, racist, expansionist ideology, it is natural to stress that people who are affiliated with Israel and Zionism must be removed immediately from any political, government, military or strategic posts and so on.
As much as Britain would refrain from delegating decisions regarding its security with Arab, Chinese or Russian Nationalists, it should similarly treat Jewish nationalists with at least as much caution.
But here is the good news. Unlike the Zionised British political system, the British people and media are actually outraged. The Mossad’s blunder, as well as the British political impotence is overwhelmingly exposed in the British press. It is on the front page of every British daily paper, it is featured on every TV news item. There is no doubt today, the patience towards Israeli barbarism is clearly running out.
A few years back I was listening to a talk given by Dr. Mustafa Barghouti who pointed out that back in 1948 the world stood silent watching 750,000 Palestinian people being driven out of their land, their villages and their cities through an orchestrated ethnic cleansing coupled with many massacres. The world kept silent when Israel set its racist return laws to prevent the Palestinians from returning to their land. In 1967, the developed world wasn’t just silent, it actually praised the Israeli expansionist extravaganza. It applauded the IDF as it cleansed tens of thousands of Palestinians out of their historic land.
But then things started to change. In the Lebanon war of 1982 the world at large was still pretty silent as 30,000 Palestinian and Lebanese were butchered by the Israeli Air Force and the IDF. Yet it miraculously woke the Left up from its terminal snooze. Some activists started to realise that Palestinians and their cause were at the heart of the battle for a better world. During the first and the second Intifadas more and more people came to realise that Israel was the aggressor. In 2006 Israel again unleashed total havoc in Lebanon. This time Israel left 3,000 fatalities. However, the impact of these successive Israeli brutalities led to a drastic rise of anti Israeli feelings. It was in fact the 2nd Lebanon war (rather than Iraq) that was the catalyst for Tony Blair’s overdue political downfall. Blair paid an immediate political price for condoning the war. The Gaza massacre of 2009, left 1,400 dead Palestinians, most of them women and children, it left Gaza in total ruin, but as we know, it also led to the highest tide of anti Israeli resentments in every possible level in the media, in the street and even in the UN.
This week we learn about Israel’s latest murderous blunder. It assassinated a Hamas military leader. While in the past Israel would be praised for the courage of its assassin squads, those who are chasing the enemies of the Jews in far lands and beyond, the reaction this week is very different. The Jewish state is now regarded as a qualified pariah state. British media and people start to see through it. No one in the British press stood for Israel, no one tried to justify or advocate Israel’s acts. No one repeated the clichés about Hamas being a terrorist organisation. I guess that by now, people out there grasp that Hamas is Palestine’s democratically elected leadership. People also realise that Hamas is justified in pursuing a fully legitimate struggle for liberation.
As much as Israelis and their supporters try to tell us that the diplomatic backlash is fuelled by merely technical matters such as ‘identity theft’, reading the British press conveys a far deeper resentment to Israel, what it stands for and the way it operates.
For a while some of us have been talking about remote signs that the tide is changing. As it happens, we are waking up into a new reality. The tide has changed already. Israel has exhausted the last drops of moral integrity, as if it possessed such an integrity to start with. Britain and every Western country better move fast and identify the enemy within, those amongst us who support the Zionist project and convert us all into being complicit partners in Israel’s never ending sin.

INTERPOL issues Red Notices to assist in identification of 11 Dubai murder suspects
See all photos and Red Notices
LYON, France – INTERPOL has issued Red Notices for 11 internationally-wanted individuals who have been charged by UAE/Dubai authorities with co-ordinating and committing the murder of Palestinian national and Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai on 19 January 2010.
Since INTERPOL has reason to believe that the suspects linked to this murder have stolen the identities of real people, the Red Notices specify that the names used were aliases used to commit murder. INTERPOL has officially made public the photos and the names fraudulently used on the passports in order to limit the ability of accused murderers from traveling freely using the same false passports.
The publication of the Red Notices came at the request of Dubai police and INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abu Dhabi, with whom the INTERPOL General Secretariat and Command and Co-ordination Centre in Lyon are working closely, together with NCBs in other member countries, to determine the true identities of the alleged perpetrators behind Mahmoud al-Mabhouh’s murder.
“Based on close co-operation among our member countries and on information provided by innocent citizens, it is becoming clear that those who carefully planned and carried out the murder of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh most likely used forged or fake European passports of innocent citizens whose identities were stolen,” said INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.
Mr Noble urged police to focus on the pictures of the suspects published in the INTERPOL Red Notice in deciding who to detain, question and apprehend.
“Since the names on the passports discovered as part of the Dubai Police's investigation are most likely the names of real and innocent people whose identities have been stolen, INTERPOL does not believe that we know the true identities of these wanted persons. We have therefore included the names fraudulently used because if any of the persons pictured on the INTERPOL Red Notice were found in possession of fraudulently altered or counterfeit passports, then such possession would be evidence of guilt for a variety of crimes,” said Secretary General Noble.
“The decision by Dubai and INTERPOL to share all existing available information with the international law enforcement community can only help shed light on those who perpetrated and masterminded the attack. In the process it will also help to establish the innocence of the ordinary citizens and even of countries whose identities were stolen and fraudulently used,” added Mr Noble.
Earlier this month, Secretary General Noble warned global leaders and decision-makers at the World Economic Forum in Davos of the international security threat posed by the use of fraudulent passports enabling criminals to travel undetected.
Dubai authorities have said that British, French, German and Irish passports were used in the operation to kill Mahmoud al-Mabhouh. A number of the individuals whose names were used have been reported as saying their identities were stolen and that they were not involved. Authorities in Britain, France, Germany and Ireland for their part say they believe the passports from their countries used by the alleged killers were fraudulently altered.

Britain to expel Israeli diplomat over Dubai hit passports

Britain will expel an Israeli diplomat over the use of forged British passports in the assassination of Hamas chief Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, a British Foreign Office official said on Tuesday.
Mabhouh was killed in January in what Dubai police have said they are near certain was a hit by Israel's Mossad spy agency.
Dubai authorities have named 27 alleged members of the team that tracked and killed the Palestinian, and said they used fraudulent British, Irish, French, German and Australian passports to enter and depart from Dubai.
The British Foreign Office said Foreign Secretary David Miliband would make a statement on the matter at 5:30 P.M. (1530 GMT).
British media reports said the seniority level of the diplomat who faced expulsion was unknown.
The Foreign Ministry said it had no immediate comment on the report. Spokesman Yigal Palmor said he was checking the details of the report.
Israel has neither confirmed nor denied a role in the killing of Mahmoud Mabhouh, a Hamas military commander, in a Dubai hotel room in January.
Israeli Ambassador to London, Ron Prosor, was summoned to the Foreign Office in London on Monday to be told that results of an inquiry into the murder of Mabhouh have determined for certain that British passports were forged as part of the operation.
According to media reports, there was growing speculation that a diplomat would be expelled as "a mark of the 'anger' within the government that British passport holders had been put at risk as a result of the operation."
Prosor was also reportedly told that a ministerial statement will be made to Parliament in the coming days formally naming the Israeli security services as responsible for the cloning of up to 15 British passports as part of the Dubai operation.
The statement will not state definitively whether the Mossad was involved and will instead mention both them and the Military Intelligence Directorate.
But the Foreign Office made it clear to Prosor that the probe had determined for certain that the passports were forged when British citizens passed through airports on their way into Israel, with officials taking them away for 'checks' which lasted around 20 minutes.

Report: Algeria arrests Mossad agent with fake Spanish passport

Algerian authorities have arrested an Israeli Mossad agent carrying a fake Spanish passport in the city of Hassi Messaoud near an Egyptian office providing service for oil companies, Algerian Ennahar El Djadid newspaper reported on Tuesday.
According to the Algerian sources, the Mossad agent entered Algeria under the fake identity of a 35-year old Spanish man named Alberto Vagilo, and spent over ten days in the country prior to his arrest.
The report came a week after an Israeli citizen who went missing for several days in Algeria, who was also carrying a Spanish passport, raised suspicions that he might have been kidnapped by al-Qaida.
The man notified the Foreign Ministry that he contacted his family and that he was safe.
The Algerian paper also reported that the Mossad man received entry visas through a European embassy before traveling to the country via Barcelona.
According to the Algerian sources, deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), John Pistole visited Algeria last Thursday to negotiate on behalf of the Israeli citizen, as there are no diplomatic relations between Israel and Algeria.
Ennahar El Djadid went on to report that the man has a good command of Arabic, is well acquainted with the city, and even participated in the Muslim prayers in the Bilal Ibn Rabah mosque.
London-based pan Arab daily ASharq al-Awsat reported last week that the Algerian government suspected that an Israeli citizen was abducted by Al-Qaida after he entered the country using a Spanish passport.
According to the report, the man was first held by locals and afterwards was sold to the al-Qaida terrorist organization.
The Islamist organizations usually reveal the identities of their abductees after several days.

Report: Suspected Mossad agent arrested over Dubai assassination
Uri Brodsky arrested in Warsaw for allegedly obtaining forged German passport involved in Hamas strongman hit, AFP reports; Foreign ministry confirms Israeli citizen arrested in Poland.
Polish authorities arrested an alleged Mossad agent suspected of attaining German passports involved in the assassination of Hamas strongman Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January, according to Der Spiegel cited by French news agency AFP on Saturday.
"He was arrested in Warsaw and is suspected of being involved in illegally obtaining a [German] passport," AFP cited a spokesman for German federal prosecution to German magazine Der Spiegel.
"It's now up to the Poles to decide if they are going to hand him over to Germany," the spokesman said.
The foreign ministry confirmed that an Israeli citizen was arrested earlier in June in Poland, and said that the Israeli consulate in Warsaw has been in contact with the man and has received continuous updates on his condition since the arrest.
The ministry added that the suspect has received consulate assistance like every Israel arrested abroad.
Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed in January when a team of assassins broke into his hotel room and killed him silently, leaving a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. The hotel security cameras caught images of the alleged killers sharing an elevator ride with Mabhouh prior to the assassination.
Since the killing, Dubai police have identified over 32 suspects, releasing photos of 27 people who were allegedly involved in the assassination based on alleged forged passports.
The Mossad has been implicated by the Dubai police as having masterminded the assassination, but Israel has said there is no proof tying Mossad to the incident.
The Der Spiegel article, which is expected to be published on Monday, said the Israeli suspect Uri Brodsky was arrested in early June on arrival at Warsaw's airport.
Brodsky is suspected by German authorities to have helped a member of the hit squad obtain a German passport in June 2009.
In February, German intelligence services investigating the assassination of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai claimed one of the suspected members of the assassination team carried a genuine German passport, according to reports Saturday in German media outlets.
According to the findings of German federal investigators, in June 2009 an Israeli man named Michael Bodenheimer - who shares the name of an alleged member of the Dubai hit squad - came to immigration officials in Cologne with the pre-World War II address of his grandparents.
Bodenheimer acquired German citizenship on the basis of this data.
After his name was listed as one of the suspected members of the Dubai assassination squad, Bodenheimer, who lives in Bnei Brak and is of American origin, said that he did not know how his identity was stolen.
