"What are you gonna have?"

"I dunno. What are you gonna have?"

"I dunno. I guess I'll have whatever he's having."

Gee, I dunno. What's that she's having?"

I have a question for Paulson

This is probably a really stupid question, but I know nothing about finances/banking, etc. Amid all the talk about foreclosures, I don't hear anyone talking about private mortgage insurance (PMI). I have been paying PMI each month for years because I didn't have enough of a downpayment when I bought my house. What the fuck is PMI for if it doesn't insulate the banks from people's inability to make their mortgage payments? Does anyone know how this works? As far as I can figure, the banks shouldn't be in trouble, just the insurance companies or underwriters or whoever is backing the private mortgage insurance!
