CIA to Declassify the Goods - Should we be Skeptical?

Someone yesterday mentioned to me this whole thing about the CIA releasing all kinds of documents detailing their nefarious deeds. The guy who mentioned it was a skeptic of 9/11 truth who really was not making very good arguments generally. Seeing as how the story is being blogged on 911b by none other than Jon Gold I figured it was probably a good thing to comment on.
No one doubts that the CIA has indeed been up to some unsavory shenanigans. It is also true that the CIA tried to keep us out of the Iraq War by contradicting what the Office of Special Plans, Douglas Feith's Lie Factory was saying at the time about WMD. We also know that the CIA and specifically George Tenet is a favorite target of the LIHOP/Patsystan crowd, since they are presumably the ones who sat on the bogus warnings about the bogus upcoming attacks by bin Laden. We also know that the Department of Homeland Security was formed in part to undermine the power of the CIA, which you might think is a good thing until you realize that if there is any more corrupt alphabet agency than the CIA now it is the DHS, which may as well be called Mossad D.C. branch.
I see this series of "revelations" as serving a dual purpose--preparing the way to put the fairly corrupt CIA out of business and leave only the entirely corrupt DHS in place, with the excuse of the 9/11 Commission's mandate that intelligence failures are to blame for everything that BushCo and the Neocons have been up to. It is also a way to come clean about SOME things, that no doubt will be damaging to SOME people, while NOT revealing OTHER things, which may be damging to OTHER people. Then of course any allegations against CIA activities in the past that may involve "protected people" can be dismissed, because they weren't mentioned when the CIA "came clean".
Could this have anything to do, for example, with the claims by some that James Jesus Angleton was Mossad's mole in the CIA at the time of the JFK assassination? Perhaps, and perhaps there are many other things that will be attempted to be swept under the rug for good--let's keep a nice and cynical eye on this story! Usually things that sound too good to be true are in fact not (entirely) true...
