Chat Room Up

I have created a chatroom. I'm not very fluent with irc but I think I can provide you with enough information to join the channel.

The server I used is:

irc.freenode.net

Channel = #legalwar

I will keep it open as I'll be on working all night. E-mail me at jesse at boldwater dot net if you can't connect because I may not have it set up correctly...but I think I do.

I use a chat program called Trillian that allows me to create IRC chatrooms. I'm not sure about much else. I think there are other clients but I've not heard of telnet when using them. mIrc is one that I think works.

Or if you want Trillian it's sort of a aim/yahoo/icq/msn/irc combo software that combines all that stuff.

nope, irc, not telnet. but theres no need to download anything, there are also 'web-based' irc clients that work right in your browser such as this one:

a 'real' client like mIRC is more smooth tho.

the Internets were just starting to become popular and when college gave me the opportunity to start using real computers. IRC was our first experience with chatting online, back in 1992. I remember being a little troll at the very beginning, walking into esoteric chat rooms like the Esperanto room and pretending to speak Esperanto. No one thought it was funny of course...
