I was peeved to run across yet another anti-gay slur while reading 911blogger this afternoon. I'm sure that yes, the person was just being lazy with his choice of words and reverting to eighth-gradese. This time I didn't say anything. I just didn't feel like playing PC Nazi, although typically when I do, some nice gay Truther will come by and thank me, which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Things like this are obstacles to making alliances with the left. The local group was involved in a huge debacle early this year that very pointlessly pissed off the leftie usual suspects in the community. If those of us in the group who identify as leftist truthers had not been so used to being told to shut up about issues not directly related to 9/11 because they would "dilute the agenda" we might have seen it coming and prevented it. (Oddly, the "don't dilute the agenda" contingent is quite happy to bring in chemtrails, the NWO, Illuminati, and the government's attempts to "destroy our families" with domestic violence laws and the like.)
