I started reading this last night.

"it shows what a Zionist extremist this character is..."

The introduction to the book makes this clear as glass. Ben-Sharhar leaves no room for discussion. Israel = good, positive, democracy and freedom while Arab nations = evil, thugs, murderous, human rights violations, Nazi propagandists.

The irony is that Tal Ben-Shahar's description of Israel's Arab enemies could easily be used to describe Israel itself. As I read this I can't imagine the author didn't notice this when he wrote this book in such black and white terms.

I had an interesting exchange with a US Marine who would 'do anything for Israel'. He was so pissed at me and my friend who was also a Marine because we did not 'get it'. It made him furious that we did not want to smash the Arabs.

At one point the guy became furious and exclaimed "Those people (Muslims) will cut your kids fucking throat if given the chance!!!!".

Creepy shit.
