ah yes, the old "people don't want to hear it"

no kidding, beeyotches! That's why we have to be persistent. We are NOT spreading gloom at all, we are waking people up from a nightmare. in that nightmare we appear to people as evil monsters and so they naturally fear us and avoid us. Slowly but surely though, as we continue to nudge them gently with reassuring gentle words in their ears they will wake up--perhaps with a shudder--and then we can do whatever is needed to calm them down, some brandy maybe, or smelling salts--whatever works for them. We're on a mission, folks, and I hate to sound like an evangelist but if not for our efforts the world has no hope. Onward and upward! We are winning...
