Caveat emptor!
Hendrickson's technique sounds appetizing... at first.
I suggest that you listen to the parts of some of the radio shows that Dave Champion has done where he discusses the problems with Hendrickson's technique. Search each year of the archives to find the particular shows using the search term "hendrickson". The 16kb mp3s are small and of good quality. And, since the summary for each show archived is is in order of the material discussed, you can easily skip to the portion of a show that is of interest. Each 2-hour show is broken down into 2 1-hour mp3 segments.

FYI:
Dave Champion has a compelling argument for the legal distinction between taxpayers and non-taxpayers. Non-taxpayers don't file returns. Therefore, they don't have need to file amended returns or returns requesting refunds. Which means, of course, that they no use for Hendrickson's dangerous technique. :-)
Check out his site http://www.originalintent.org and click on the "Education" link. There are a number of short treatises that Dave has written to help bring people up to speed regarding the true applicability of the federal income tax. I suggest reading them in the order presented. I've been following Dave Champion for quite a few years. I separated his wheat from the chaff of the many untaxing gurus, ala Hendrickson, long ago. He is working on a book due out in the next 4-5 months that, I'm sure, will be quite compelling.
If you've not heard of Larken Rose, I recommend checking out his work simply for the sake of learning a bit about how the statutes and code are supposed to work. You can check out his research here:
Larken's video, Theft by Deception, is based upon his research summarized in his report "Taxable Income - The Evolution of the U.S. Income Tax Deception"

Larken's new book is about his personal experience with the government prosecuting him as a part of their defending their fraudulent misapplication of the federal income tax:
Kicking the Dragon (Confessions of a Tax Heretic)
http://www.kickingthedragon.com/
"The book which chronicles the eight year saga of this
“tax heretic†lays out in detail the sometimes amusing, sometimes infuriating tale of a modern-day witch-hunt,
a corrupt and dishonest government bent on harassing, demonizing, persecuting, silencing and imprisoning those
who publicly question the gospel according to the powers
that be. The disturbing facts of the case pull back the
facade of “due process†and the “rule of law†to reveal
the United States government for what it has devolved
into: a gang of lawless criminals interested only in
preserving their own power by any means necessary."
