when have I ever said AJ will kill the truth movement?
I simply happen to think he is a disinfo shill. Some people think Uncle Fetzer is one too, others think he's a righteous dude. This kind of idol-worship was one of the main things at 911B that I would get into arguments with people about. Let me be clear--I am not jealous of Alex Jones or the Loose Change boys, I just think they are charlatans who should not be taken seriously. Some might say the same about me, and if they want to I'm sure the Loose Change boys will allow it on their forum. I'll even allow it here from people who are otherwise contributing something to other discussions here.
I hope people see the difference between focusing only on internal politics and including them occasionally as comic relief. It may be instructive to look back at some of the older posts on this site--in one of them I remarked on the fact that any truly 9/11 related post I published here was barely read and/or commented on. On the other hand when it involves internal politics the post gets a bunch more hits and comments. Is that my fault? It seems the issue of the personalities in the movement is one that is on many peoples' minds. I neither seek nor want the attention that AJ and Loose Change boys get. I am not in this to make a career out of truthing. I am in this for the cause pure and simple. I would also like to think that I could serve as an example to people that you don't have to be famous or have a big name to contribute significantly to the cause. In fact, i would argue that flying under the radar is a much better tactic for real truthers. Ever wonder why Jon Gold, who really does not all that much, is constantly trying to drop names and show how well-connected to "famous truthers" he is? That's a sure sign that someone lacks in substance--when they play the popularity game. I hate that high school crap with a passion, and it's not surprising to me that the quintessential example are the LC kids, only one of whom went to college!
Judge them by their work--uh, that's what I do--I judge their work, their movie of which is only a small part. Their work is otherwise a bunch of self-promotion and promotion of their friends like Alex Jones, Mark Dice, Luke Rudkowski, and anyone else who plays along with the farce that they are somehow exceptionally talented, smart, or dedicated. They are not. I have seen them flub every debate they've taken part in. I have seen them covered in the complicit mass media more often than almost anyone in the truth movement. I have had to "apologize" for their crappiness when talking to people in public who think that the 9/11 truth movement was launched by a bunch of kids. I have ended up turning off a Harvard professor who was otherwise fairly sympathetic by having him watch Loose Change (and others have told me similar stories). If they were JUST about their movie that's one thing, but they are much more.
They are about someone out there controlling people's perception of this issue--linking it in people's minds with typical "conspiracy theorist" notions of young males trying to look cool and badass, of right wing paranoid types as exemplified by Alex Jones. These people are ACTORS in my opinion. I am not jealous of them I am pissed off at them because of their egoism. Talk about opportunists! As someone who holds down a job so as to fund myself and maintain my independence I bristle at these kids prancing around Hollywood getting their money from who knows where, accountable to no one, making deals and the not with billionaires who dis the entire notion of 9/11 truth.
I'm happy to have people disagree with my assessment and to rebut my arguments on the subject--that's the point of a forum. But if all you've got is "RT is jealous"... RT is quite happy with who he is and with his accomplishments in life. RT would really love for all this shit to be over so he can go back to having a life--seriously. RT just doesn't feel that he can give up now because the "movement" is as yet still vulnerable to the effects of the MASSIVE disinfo effort that has dominated it for so long.
I don't mean to sound like a prick here, but if people like me (there are others) had not been inclined to call out shills like Jon Gold for their LIHOPPINESS some of us would never have been banned and the more subtle hidden dynamics at 911blogger would maybe not have been exposed. I think we showed that tehre is a definite effort by some there to promote certain "theories" and discourage or even bury others. Confusing the issue of course is the fact that some people will accuse me of doing the same thing for banning a no-planer. I don't care--I would also ban a neo-Nazi who advocated rounding up Jews, or a Zionist who said that Arabs were all terrorists who should be shot. It's for users to decide whether a forum's decisions seem to be reasonable or if they seem to be political and for nefarious manipulative purposes. I would say that the goal is to find a happy medium between a free for all that gets swamped by lowest common denominator swill and a fascist mind control site that uses ostensible diversity to mask an actual uniformity (Goebbel's words) to fool people in believing that their manufactured consensus is reality-based.
I can be divisive, yes--that doesn't mean I will ban people who disagree with me. I think it's great that 911blogger became so divided because it exposed something that was undeniably true about some of the people there. Should I never have engaged in divisive arguments with Jon Gold, as dz asked? What BS! All who think I am needlessly divisive should understand that that is what I feel is appropriate for these "insiders'" forums. Contrast to Jon Gold, who has said that almost everything he writes is intended for Newbies and so people should not downrate it because they will be prone to be skeptical about it. You know, like the wire transfer crap--unity when Jon Gold wants to sucker neophytes into thinking he is some kind of hero of the movement? HA!
This movement needs real divisions, not the pseudo divisions that the LIHOPPERS and no-planers use to distract people from the real truth. I would hate for people to feel that they couldn't post here or comment here because they felt I was too divisive, but after my experience on 911b there is no way that I'm going to censor myself one bit, and anyone who can't handle that, well, there are ways of avoiding my venom, like by finding other forums that closer fit your style. And I don't say that with malice or bitterness, just with the hope that wherever you end up you can do the most you can for the truth and not for some unnecessary concept of unity...
